about

This is the first song I ever wrote in my entire life.

I was 14 and I had just left junior for high school. I had left behind me this girl with subtle but yet devastating charms for whom a lot would have fell. I had met her during a school trip, when the change of scenery unties tongues who only start to talk about adult things. I can still remember her pyjama shorts as we gathered after the teachers' curfew in hotel rooms...

Needless to say, I wasn't part of the jocks' clique, so I gave much more importance to our encounter than she did. She followed her way in another high school and its mundane circles, our roads separated for some time...

During that year in the early 00s, I wish she would have looked at me...

Oh yeah, and I TAKE REPONSIBILITY FOR IT ! ;-)

lyrics

I'm looking at you, drowning in your eyes
But you walk away, as if you despise me
Why do you make me feel I’m invisible
Make me understand it’s impossible

But I wish you looked at me just for one time
You've got to realise that I just need you
And I wish you could see me 'cause then you would find
Someone who would die just for you

But you're so far, a million light-years away
You can't seem to feel the same way as I do anyway
Inaccessible, still I try to reach you
If only you could see how much I want you

But I wish you looked at me just for one time
You've got to realise that I just need you
And I wish you could see me 'cause then you would find
Someone who would die just for you

How can you see me when I'm so faraway?
You remain distant, don't try to communicate
I try to move closer but you stay away
So unimportant, I'm feeling so frustrated

But I wish you looked at me just for one time
You've got to realise that I just need you
And I wish you could see me 'cause then you would find
Someone who would die just for you
